F1 pays tribute to Mateschitz
Mateschitz died on Saturday at the age of 78, after a long illness. The news hit the entire F1 paddock hard. The Austrian meant a lot to both F1 and motorsport in general, as well as many other sports. Prior to the start of the US GP, F1 will therefore pay tribute to the co-founder of Red Bull.
Meanwhile, the atmosphere in Red Bull's garage is subdued. Many employees wear jeans instead of their normal outfits, as Mateschitz himself used to do. In addition, music by his favourite band, The Rolling Stones, is played.
