Emerson Fittipaldi thinks Max Verstappen will have an advantage over the Brazilian Grand Prix weekend. A lot of rain is predicted at the Interlagos circuit, but the Dutchman could actually benefit from that.
The weekend in Brazil promises to be another special edition. In fact, a lot of rain is forecast on Saturday and Sunday. It will not only ensure an exciting Grand Prix, but also a potentially wet sprint race on Saturday night. It is the third and final sprint race of the season.
Verstappen the favourite in Brazil
In conversation with Vegasinsider.com Fittipaldi gives his opinion on which drivers will have an advantage in the rain. "For sure, Max. In my opinion, he is the fastest in the rain. Lewis (Hamilton) will always go fast in the rain. Then we have the young lion, Lando Norris. He's very good in the rain. The rain could be a big advantage for these drivers", says the two-time world champion.
The 2016 Brazil GP has already shown how good Verstappen is in the rain at Interlagos. The Dutchman drove from the backfield to an impressive P3. Even the Brazilian fans in attendance were impressed by Verstappen's drive. The performance even reminded them of their great idol Ayrton Senna.
