Schumacher lashes out: 'Would rather be in the foreground himself'

Ralf Schumacher has once again lashed out at Guenther Steiner. According to Mick Schumacher 's uncle, the Haas team boss could use a leadership course and also has a personal problem with his nephew.
It seems a matter of time before Nico Hulkenberg is announced by Haas as the new driver for 2023. For a long time it was between Schumacher and Hulkenberg, but the younger of the two was reportedly told by his team in Brazil that it is the end of the story. Indeed, Hulkenberg is said to have signed a contract.
Leadership of Steiner
In conversation with Sky Sports Ralf also feels the pinch. He knows that if Mick had been chosen, that news would have been known by now. The fact that Steiner has discussed the news so openly is not a good sign for the Schumacher camp either. Ralf Schumacher, who has been critical of the Haas team all season (ironically, according to rumours, precisely one of the reasons why they are done with Mick at Haas), therefore lashes out yet again.
''Mick has shown that there is potential. But no matter what he did, the team and Günther Steiner were never satisfied with it. The whole behavior cannot be explained with normal standards. It almost has to be something personal. I think that Günther Steiner doesn't get along with the fact that someone else is the focus at Haas. He is very, very happy to be the one who is in the foreground,'' the former F1 driver states.
Ralf does not think much of the team boss's leadership either. According to the little brother of F1 legend Michael Schumacher, Steiner constantly puts pressure on his staff, making a driver like Mick constantly afraid of making mistakes. According to Schumacher, Steiner could therefore do with a leadership course over the winter.
