Things seem to be rumbling pretty badly at Ferrari, it became clear in recent days. Behind the scenes, the team is reportedly not only preparing for the departure of team boss Mattia Binotto, but other leaders are also said to be under pressure. Charles Leclerc would not comment on the situation at the press conference to GPblog and others.

Leclerc still has something to fight for this weekend. Indeed, he is tied with Sergio Perez for second place in the world championship with both 290 points scored. Therefore, the driver reveals that he wants to focus mainly on his own performance this weekend.

"Overall, there are always rumours in Formula 1 and Ferrari," Leclerc clarifies. "There are always voices around us. As a team, we really need to focus on our job on track. People tend to forget how big of a step we have done from last year to this year. There is another step we need to do, I am sure we will do it altogether."

Relationship between Leclerc and Binotto not good

According to rumours, the rapport between Binotto and Leclerc has not been good for months. It is said to have caused the two men to stop talking to each other for some time, which is why Ferrari did have to make the choice to intervene.
