Kevin Magnussen finishes seventh in Gulf 12 Hours

Kevin Magnussen has a busy winter. In early 2023, he will be at the start of the 24 Hours of Daytona, together with his father Jan. This weekend, the Dane was already active in the Gulf 12 at the Yas Marina Bay Circuit in Abu Dhabi. Magnussen crossed the finish line in seventh place. The team of Antonio Fuoco, James Calado and Alessandro Pier Guidi took the win.
The trio Davide Rigon, Alessio Rovera and Nicklas Nielsen finished second. Christopher Haase, Patric Niederhauser and Erwan Bastard also got to join the podium. Magnussen never came close to that podium, having started 15th.
For Kevin Magnussen, who competed in Abu Dhabi with father Jan Magnussen and Mark Kvamme, it was a wish to race with his father more often. Former F1 driver Jan and son Kevin already competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans last year. This made them want more and in Abu Dhabi, this was possible. During this endurance race, Magnussen's team finished in seventh position.
More active
Now Magnussen awaits a short holiday, before travelling to the United States for the 24 Hours of Daytona. This race will be held on 28 and 29 January. In recent years, Magnussen has also been active in Daytona. However, this will be the first time he will compete there with father Jan at his side.
