Aston Martin expects 'difficult' Alonso: 'Exactly what we need'

Mike Krack expects Fernando Alonso to boost the Aston Martin team next season, as he explained in an interview with Marca. At the same time, the British formation's team boss thinks the collaboration will not be easy.
Two-time World Champion Alonso brings a lot of experience and qualities to the team, but is also known for his difficult character. However, Krack believes the formation must be able to deal with his character traits if it wants to move up the rankings.
"Fernando is a very direct driver and person. Drivers like Fernando have achieved what they have achieved because they keep asking questions, keep pushing and want more," Krack explained. "We have to be prepared and be able to anticipate what he is going to ask," he added.
"He will constantly challenge us and strive for more: that is the nature of a true champion. But you can be sure he will get the most out of the car. If we want to grow and become a top team, we need to be able to handle this kind of character. Fernando is exactly what we need."
Ambitious Aston Martin for 2023
Aston Martin has set a clear target for itself for this racing year. Namely, the team hopes to finish at least two places higher in the Constructors' Championship. In 2022, Aston Martin still managed to finish seventh in the rankings.
