De Vries: "Now I want to succeed in F1"

Nyck de Vries has finally achieved Formula 1. The next thing on his schedule is to succeed in Formula 1. How he finally got there, the Dutchman explains in an interview with Day1.
Nyck de Vries did everything he had to do to lay claim to a seat in Formula 1, but he failed no less than four times in one year to get into the king class of motorsport. The fifth time has finally happened for the Dutchman, and at the age of 28 he will make his F1 debut with AlphaTauri.
De Vries now wants to succeed in F1
With a Formula 2 title and a Formula E title under his belt, De Vries is looking directly at the dot on the horizon and has set himself a new goal. "Succeeding in Formula 1. First you want to make it and get there, which is already very unique. It's almost unattainable. I now have this opportunity." However unattainable F1 seemed, De Vries kept believing and made it attainable in his mind. On that, De Vries says: "I can remember lying in bed once and we were talking about it and I literally said: 'I believe it will happen to me'." The persistence wins out. The Dutchman describes that 22 years of blood, sweat and tears have come together with his debut season in Formula 1 this year.
