Hamilton commemorates Ken Block: 'Lost a good friend'

News of the death of Ken Block (55) hit the racing world on Tuesday. Seven-time F1 champion Lewis Hamilton has been paying tribute to Block on social media.
Block died in a snowmobile accident in the United States. The American was an influential YouTuber, skilled racing driver and extreme sports enthusiast. Block was a well-known character in the motorsport world. Hamilton considered the American a friend and expressed on Instagram that he was touched by the tragic news.
Hamilton commemorates dear friend
Hamilton wrote on Instagram: "I've been mostly off social media to focus on my health and well being. Today I received news of the loss of a dear friend. I am devastated to hear of Ken Block's passing. He was such an amazing person and always lived life to the fulles. I can still remember our first time working together and how positive he was."
Hamilton paid tribute to his talent and craft behind the wheel. "So much talent behind the wheel. Years ago, we had a great time when we went heliskiing and snowboarding in Canada. We held so much respect for one another. He will truly be missed and my thoughts and prayers go to his beautiful family. Gone too soon. Rest in peace, Ken."
