New Haas F1 car will be on track next week at Silverstone
- GPblog.com
For now, we have to make do with the livery pictures, but Haas F1's VF-23 will be seen in action in just over a week's time. The US team will hold its so-called shakedown on 11 February.
The shakedown will take place at the Silverstone circuit. There in England, the mechanics and drivers will really experience whether what has been build at the factory actually works. It is not an extensive test that day. A maximum of 100 kilometres may be driven during a shakedown/media filming day. Nevertheless, a shakedown is very useful. A year ago, for instance, the Aston Martin team found out during this short session that their car just rolled out of the factory was not very fast.
Real tests are in Bahrain
The real tests will follow just under two weeks later. From 23 February, all F1 teams will be in Bahrain for a three-day official test session. The first Grand Prix of the season is scheduled to take place one week later.
