Fernando Alonso believes in his challenge with Aston Martin. In video footage released by the team on Twitter, the 41-year-old Spaniard can be heard after making his first official metres for his new employer.
Alonso is never demotivated
"Days like here in Jerez are very, very important for me and to get ready for Bahrain," explained the two-time world champion. "It's a fact that I try always to give my maximum. I'm never demotivated. I need to make sure that I give 100%. I'm ready for the next challenge. This is a very special opportunity for me with this team and I see in this project winning one."
Aston Martin will unveil the AMR23 on Monday 13 February at its new factory in Silverstone. The car launch can be watched live via a livestream from the team, which will be available via GPblog. The team promises that fans will not be disappointed: not just the livery, but the real car for the 2023 F1 season will be revealed.
Alonso and Lance Stroll will be present at the event, as well as test and reserve drivers Felipe Drugovich and Stoffel Vandoorne and ambassadors Jessica Hawkins and Pedro de la Rosa.
