Da Costa wins after very late overtake
Da Costa started 11th on the grid, but mixed in the battle for victory after a handsome overtaking race. On lap 24, he took the lead from Nick Cassidy before disappearing on the horizon, but by not making the best use of his attack mode, he lost time to Vergne.
Vergne was closing in fast and grabbed the lead hoping to win his second race in a row, but Da Costa was not ready to give up hope. The race was extended by two laps and it was in that extra time that the Porsche driver saw his chance. He regained the lead and then managed to fend off an attack by Vergne to take his first win of the year.
