Alonso: 'How can it be that Mercedes and Red Bull are saying the same thing about us?'

Fernando Alonso is a bit tired of the accusations against Aston Martin that the AMR23 looks too much like Red Bull Racing's car. The Spaniard is trying to focus on other things, but could not hide his displeasure.
Aston Martin got off to a good start in Bahrain. In the hands of Alonso, the AMR23 even made it onto the podium. Red Bull team advisor Helmut Marko jokingly suggested, "How nice to see three Red Bulls on the podium." Alonso cannot laugh along with the insinuating remarks that his team is copying other cars on the grid.
Alonso considers it impossible
Speaking to Spanish Marca.com the driver says: "I don't care about those comments. I only focus on my team and on improving. You can already see at a glance that there are differences between the two cars." Alonso does admit that there are similarities to be found, but that applies to every team. The Spaniard also thinks the Ferraris, Alfa Romeos and Haas cars are similar.
Alonso cannot understand where the accusations are coming from. Alonso: "Mercedes says fifty per cent of our car is theirs and Red Bull says our car is fifty per cent similar to theirs. There are not two cars more different than those two [W14 and RB19]." According to the Spaniard, this clearly indicates that the stories about Aston Martin are not true.
