Another bad weekend for Alpine: 'We win and lose together'
- GPblog.com
All is not well for the French Formula 1 team. With Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly crashing into each other, the Australian Grand Prix already caused some drama at Alpine. After Gasly's barren Friday, Ocon had a very tough time in the sprint race. He finished eighteenth. The number 31 reacted to the conditions at the team.
"We win and lose together as a team, we're all in the same boat and we're not going to lose the motivation, that's for sure." Ocon told GPblog and others. The driver finished 18th in the sprint race. His teammate was allowed to sit in 13th place.
Ocon with encouraging words
"We're all together in this, there's not one single person to blame, it's all together for the weekend so far. We keep pushing until we come back to where we should be," said the Frenchman.
The French motorsport formation will have another chance to get points in Baku on Sunday. Both Gasly and Ocon are on four points in the championship. Alpine are currently in sixth position in the constructors' championship as well.
