Horner expects more competition: 'Our focus is to create a gap'

Red Bull Racing is the team in Formula 1 right now. Four Grands Prix, four wins. Not to forget: the only sprint race of the season was also a win for the Austrian team. No one seems to be able to beat Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez at the moment.
Team boss Toto Wolff praised Red Bull in Baku for the work done. According to the Austrian, the team stands out above everyone else, there is clear subtop and a few teams behind it. In other words, for now Red Bull is the team to beat. "At the moment, there's a slight gap between the rest of the field, but there are 19 more races to go and five sprint races, so there's a huge amount of racing and a whole variety of different circuits to go through
Not a done deal
So Horner is certainly not going to rest on his laurels. Although the title fight currently seems to focus on his drivers Verstappen and Perez, Horner is not ruling out the possibility of one or more competitors being able to connect. "We're more focused on as well at the moment is building a buffer with both of the drivers, because when we get back to Europe", the Englishman said in conversation with the media, including GPblog.
"I'm sure there's going to be sizable upgrades. And, of course, we have a reduced capacity to develop this year, so that's where our focus is, is trying to build a gap."
