Sergio Perez secured his second pole position of the Formula 1 season, scoring a point in the qualifying duel with Max Verstappen. Carlos Sainz also benefited from his teammate's mistake, also catching up with Charles Leclerc. How do the rest of the duels stand after qualifying for the Miami Grand Prix?

Perez and Sainz take advantage

With Leclerc causing a late red flag with his crash in qualifying, Verstappen was also unable to attempt to attack Perez's pole time. This brings the Red Bull Racing standings to 3-2 in favour of Verstappen. Perez also finished ahead of his teammate in Saudi Arabia, with Verstappen starting 15th due to a problem with his driveshaft.

Sainz also benefited from his teammate's mistakes, bringing the score to 3-2 at Ferrari as well. Lewis Hamilton qualified behind Mercedes teammate George Russell for the fourth time this F1 season. Lando Norris, Fernando Alonso and Alexander Albon also trail their teammates.

Nyck de Vries scored his first point in the direct duel with Yuki Tsunoda. The same goes for Kevin Magnussen, who beat Nico Hulkenberg in qualifying for the first time this year and immediately did so in style by qualifying himself on the second row of the grid.
