Windsor on qualifying: 'What's up with Verstappen?'
- GPblog.com
Peter Windsor watched Formula 1 qualifying in Miami and is puzzled by the performance of Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc. The 71-year-old Briton wonders what is going on with Verstappen and Leclerc. In analyst Windsor's YouTube video, he looks back on Saturday's qualifying.
"Leclerc went wide in exactly the same corner as the Dutchman, the Monegasque went off the track into the crash barrier and that was it. Exactly the same place he did the same thing on Friday. What is going on with two of the best racing drivers in the world? What is going on with Verstappen and Leclerc?" That's what the British analyst wondered.

Windsor did speak highly of Mexican Sergio Perez's performance. "It was Perez who had everything on his lap and deserved that pole. It was a really good lap," said the Briton. On the other hand, the analyst is not happy about the course of qualifying. He would have liked to have seen Q3 run out instead of stopped.
"I think that needs to be looked at. Here's a driver going off. I suppose it's TV deadlines and that but we've seen before and things get extended if they have to. Nobody got their second runs and it was all based on the first run." Windsor said.
