Does rain fall just too late to make Monaco Grand Prix exciting?
Max Verstappen starts the Monaco Grand Prix from pole position, and the Dutchman seems to have little to worry about in terms of rain. Where rain seemed likely all weekend, it is unlikely to fall before or during the race.
Rain in Monaco
The weather can sometimes change considerably in Monaco, and when it starts raining, the challenge suddenly becomes a lot bigger. They are already narrow streets in the principality, but if you have less grip on top of that due to rain, then things get even trickier. However, it looks set to be a dry edition of the Monaco GP in 2023.
According to Weather.com, it will be mostly cloudy until around 20:00 local time. The GP runs between 15:00 and 17:00 local time, between which the chance of rain is estimated to be no more than 15 per cent. The maximum temperature is estimated at 23 degrees. Rain is predicted to fall in Monaco, but only in the evening hours, with the first rain shower and thunderstorm expected at 20:00 local time.
