Tost won't say goodbye to F1 after all? 'Got an offer'
AlphaTauri team boss Franz Tost is stepping down from his F1 team as team principal after 2023, but may not be saying goodbye to Formula 1 entirely just yet. Indeed, the Austrian reveals that there is an offer to stay.
Possible retirement Tost postponed
Ferrari's Laurent Mekies will take over Tost's role at Nick de Vries and Yuki Tsunoda's F1 team from next year. Tost's duties will be split between Mekies and Peter Bayer from 2024. Tost is a true veteran of Formula 1 and motorsport with decades of experience at multiple race teams.
Tost is looking forward to a quiet holiday as a retiree, but is also considering another offer at the same time. OE24 quotes Tost: "I am doing well. I am happy that I am finally skiing again. On the other hand, I have also received an offer to stay on as a consultant for another two years. So I will be thinking about that."
