After Sainz and Hulkenberg, Tsunoda and Stroll also follow with grid penalties
In the chaotic qualifying session in Canada, Max Verstappen, as usual, managed to come out on top. A total of four drivers were moved back three places on the grid. Besides the already mentioned Carlos Sainz and Nico Hulkenberg, Yuki Tsunoda and Lance Stroll are also three places behind their original qualifying spots.
Stroll and Tsunoda three spots back
Both Stroll and Tsunoda received penalties for unnecessarily hindering other drivers, with Esteban Ocon hindered significantly by Stroll at turn eight. Aston Martin did inform Stroll of the Frenchman's presence, so according to the FIA, the Canadian should have known that Ocon was driving behind.
Tsunoda will have to start Sunday's race from 19th place. This also means Nyck de Vries will start two spots ahead of Tsunoda. For Stroll, the situation is hardly better than for the Japanese driver. He starts 16th place, while his teammate Fernando Alonso gets to start from the second row.
