F1 constructors' standings after GP Canada | Red Bull takes most points
Red Bull Racing once again scored the most points for the constructors' championship in Canada. Thanks to Max Verstappen' s first place and Sergio Perez's sixth place (who also drove the fastest race lap), the team was able to credit 34 World Championship points. This further increased the Austrians' lead.
Red Bull is on 321 points after eight Grands Prix, almost twice as many as nearest rival Mercedes. The German racing stable has scored 167 points so far. That is 13 more than Aston Martin, which had long held second place in the world championship until the Spanish Grand Prix a fortnight ago.
After Red Bull, Ferrari was the team with the most points from the Canadian weekend. Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz together scored 22 points, taking the Italian formation to 122 points. However, the gap to Mercedes is still considerable at 43 points.
Williams is no longer the straggler thanks to seventh place and six points for Alexander Albon. Nyck de Vries ' AlphaTauri is now tenth and last, with just two points.
