Formula E confirms racing in Tokyo from 2024

The provisional calendar for the 2024 Formula E season has been announced and with it, a new race has also been confirmed. Starting next year, Japan will also host a Formula E race, the Tokyo E-prix.

So reports the FIA in a press release. The FE season which will host as many as 17 races at 13 different venues next year will also race in Tokyo in its tenth year. The first race in Tokyo will be held on 30 March 2024 and will take place around Tokyo Bay. To be precise, on the grounds of the conference centre Tokyo Big Sight.
Alberto Longo, co-founder of the FE, commented: "We are excited to take Formula E to the streets of Tokyo next season. It is an iconic world city providing the perfect backdrop to showcase the unique qualities of our sport and will capture global attention. The Season 10 calendar represents our ongoing mission to create a dynamic schedule of new cities hosting races for the first or second time like Tokyo, São Paulo and Portland alongside established hosts like Berlin, Rome, London, Monaco,
Diriyah and now Jakarta.”
