What all does Verstappen want to improve on RB19? 'I'm not kidding'
Max Verstappen took his sixth win in a row at the British Grand Prix. In his RB19, Verstappen has been winning all season, and so too in Britain. Still, the reigning world champion sees that there are quite a few areas for improvement on the car. The Dutchman also saw a pit stop by Ferrari during the race. After this, he shook up the team as he reports himself.
In what areas would Verstappen like to see the car improved? "Drag, low speed, medium speed, high speed, DRS effect, tyre wear… All of these areas. That's what we're working on! Braking performance. Yeah, I'm not kidding," the Dutchman said.
Verstappen sees Ferrari driver pitted
During the race, the 25-year-old driver saw a Ferrari driver making a pit stop. He asked the team over board radio if they stayed on the same strategy. Verstappen offers an explanation for this board radio. "Yeah, I just wanted to check in with the team. Make sure that they didn't fall asleep," said the two-time world champion.
"We would have probably pitted quite soon anyway. I still need to ask the team if we would have pitted onto a Soft or still on a Hard tyre, I don't know, probably on the Soft, but maybe that's why it's good that the Safety Car came out and saved a few laps. But I don’t know at the moment," Verstappen explained.
