Williams unveils special livery for Singapore, Japan and Qatar
- Sam Godber
Williams unveiled the special livery for the Grands Prix in Singapore, Japan and Qatar on Tuesday. The livery is based on iconic sponsor Gulf. Fans were allowed to vote for their favourite livery.
Williams with Gulf livery
Gulf Oil is a well-known sponsor in motorsport and has produced iconic liveries before. In 2020, it was still the sponsor of McLaren' s team and the British team also came with a special Gulf livery once, which was in Monaco 2021. Starting this season, Williams partnered with Gulf and this British team will also come with a special livery because of the sponsor.
Williams fans were allowed to vote on what they thought was the most beautiful livery, something Red Bull Racing is also doing for the races in America. Alexander Albon and Logan Sargeant from the Grand Prix in Singapore will drive three races with the special livery. In addition to the Singapore race, that includes the races in Japan and Qatar.
