Verstappen confirms upgrades: 'Hopefully they will deliver what we expect'
- Cas van de Kleut
Max Verstappen won his sixth consecutive Grand Prix at Silverstone. This weekend in Hungary, the Dutchman can move closer to Sebastian Vettel' s record, who has nine wins in a row during his time at Red Bull Racing. Verstappen is curious to see how the RB19 will perform at the Hungaroring, he reveals in his team's race preview.
Verstappen is having a great season. Nothing or nobody is even close to the Red Bull driver, who is on his way to clinching his third world title. The lead over teammate Sergio Perez is a whopping 99 points after 10 races.
Verstappen confirms upgrades
This weekend, it could just be that Red Bull will be even more dominant against the other teams, as new upgrades are being fitted to the car. "We have a couple of upgrades this weekend, hopefully they will do what we expect them to do so we can find extra performance for the upcoming races," Verstappen explained.
'Curious to see how we do here'
At Silverstone, the RB19 again had the upper hand over the other teams. The Hungaroring is another completely different circuit, Verstappen agrees: "Let’s see where we stand on a track where you run high downforce with relatively low speed corners, it’s an amazing track to drive and very technical as well. Definitely a place I always look forward to coming back to."
