Constructors' standings | Red Bull at front, McLaren scores again
- Toby McLuskie
The Red Bull Racing team has an even firmer grip on the reins of the constructors' championship. With first and third place as well as the fastest race lap, the team of Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez is now 229 points ahead of number two Mercedes.
McLaren does good business again
After McLaren took many points to Woking at Silverstone, they did so again in Hungary. With second and fifth-place finishes, the British team is catching up with Ferrari. The Italians have seen their lead dwindle considerably in recent races, with the gap between the two teams down to just 80 points.
The Alpine team may be called a loser after the Hungarian Grand Prix. Due to a double failure at the first corner, the team of Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon is looking at an even bigger gap with McLaren. They remain in sixth place in the constructors' championship with 47 points.
