Debate | Red Bull will win all races during the 2023 F1 season
- Sam Godber
12 races have been completed in the 2023 F1 season. With that, we are over halfway through and have arrived at the summer break. There are still 10 races to go, and there is nothing to suggest that Red Bull Racing will lose any of those 10 GPs. Sunday's statement after the Belgian GP reads: Red Bull will win all 22 races in 2023. Do you agree?
Red Bull win everything in 2023
It is mainly Red Bull Racing in combination with Verstappen that is ensuring the victories go with them to Austria this year. The team has won all 12 races of the season so far. With Abu Dhabi added from 2022, the team is now on a record run of 13 wins in a row. With 10 races to go, it seems possible that Red Bull could extend the win streak to 23 and win all races this year.
Indeed, Red Bull has shown it can win on any kind of track. High top speed, street circuit, traditional circuit, fast corners, slow corners, there is no circumstance in which Verstappen and the RB19 cannot do it. Even in case something goes wrong with the reliability of one of the Red Bulls, it is not over for the team. Sergio Perez seems to have recovered a bit since Hungary. If Verstappen does not make it, Perez is a guarantor. This is also something Helmut Marko said earlier in the season.
Red Bull makes 2023 a perfect year
The inevitable grid penalties need not get in the way for Red Bull either. For one thing, should they really go for the 22 wins this season, they could possibly divide the engine parts so that there is always a Red Bull driver free of grid penalties. But even if that fails, Verstappen showed in Belgium that a few places of grid penalty does not matter. Five places at least, but given his 22-second lead, another five-place grid penalty would not have prevented him from winning either.
The statement after the Belgian GP and to kick off the summer break reads: 'Red Bull will make 2023 a perfect year and win all the races'. Vote on the poll below whether you agree or disagree with this statement. Leave with a comment why you agree or disagree with the statement.
