FIA passes verdict on Verstappen and Hulkenberg incident at Zandvoort
- Toby McLuskie
The incident between Max Verstappen and Nico Hulkenberg during the second free practice for the Zandvoort Grand Prix has been reviewed and assessed by the FIA. The German, who recently extended his contract at Haas, was in the reigning world champion's way. It ended with a hiss as Hulkenberg will not receive a penalty for this.
Verstappen and Hulkenberg
Verstappen entered the final sector at full speed and at that moment was hampered by Hulkenberg, who was still on his warm-up lap. The Haas driver thus drove in front of Verstappen, forcing the Dutchman to hit the brakes hard. See what the stewards think here.
