Rowland will drive for FE team Nissan, De Vries misses out

Oliver Rowland will drive for the Nissan Formula E team. Together with teammate Sacha Fenestraz, the line-up for the upcoming Formula E season has been completed. The missing name? Nyck de Vries. The Dutchman was linked to the FE team, but has missed out on a seat.
Rowland has been in the Formula E paddock for several seasons now and has had plenty of experience driving the cars. Following De Vries' sudden F1 departure, rumours suggested that he was in the mix for the seat. However, Nissan have opted for the British driver.
Rowland and Fenestraz together in Formula E, no De Vries
Rowland himself is hugely enthusiastic: "I’m confident Sacha and I will make a strong pairing, he showed incredible speed in his first season. I’m looking forward to getting back to work, ready to go and can’t wait to see what we can do as a team," he said.
The current Formula E season was the first for Fenestraz, so next season will be his second. "I’m looking forward to building on our strong maiden year together and fighting for positive results throughout the season. I’m also very happy to welcome Oli back to the team," Rowland's teammate told reporters.
