Sainz responds to robbery: 'Will only remain as an unpleasant anecdote’
- Sam Godber
Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz has responded on X, the former Twitter, to the coverage surrounding the robbery of him in the centre of Milan Sunday night. The Spaniard is doing well, he told via the medium.
In the centre of Milan, the Ferrari driver was robbed of his watch around 8.30pm. The perpetrators then fled with the Formula 1 driver's loot. The podium winner, with the help of bystanders, managed to grab the perpetrators and regained his watch. He is grateful to the Milanese for their support.
Sainz grateful for help
"As many of you already know, yesterday we experienced an unfortunate incident in Milano. The most important thing is that we are all OK and this will only remain as an unpleasant anecdote. Many thanks to all the people who helped us yesterday, to the Milan police for their quick intervention and thanks for all your messages," the one-time race winner wrote on X.
