The McLaren team had a mixed qualifying session. Lando Norris qualified strongly with a fourth starting position two tenths from pole position. Oscar Piastri, on the other hand, was stranded as early as Q1. However, the Australian was unlucky as Lance Stroll crashed heavily on his final lap. The McLaren drivers look back on their qualifying in Singapore.

Norris will start the race in Singapore from P4. The Briton is happy with that result and reveals that he got everything out of his car. "The team have done a great
job, so I’m proud of everyone," Norris began. "We’re in a good position tomorrow to score some good points. The race is always very tricky around here, so we’re not
getting ahead of ourselves, but we have a good enough car to challenge, and we’ll see what we can do."

Piastri out in Q1 after crash Stroll

Piastri had to abort his fast lap after Lance Stroll crashed heavily at the final corner. The Australian was unable to improve as a result and dropped out of Q1. He says there was more in it, but says he is especially happy that Stroll was able to get out unscathed. "Obviously, it was a disappointing qualifying, however, I’m glad to see
that Stroll is okay. Unfortunately, there’s not much more we could have done due to the Red Flag.
We’ll see if we can go forward tomorrow, it’s going to be tricky to get points, but that doesn’t mean we can’t try our hardest," said the McLaren driver.
