Max Verstappen looked relaxed during the driver parade ahead of the Singapore Grand Prix. The Red Bull driver knows it will be a tough race, but is happy to be surprised, he told F1TV.

"Realistically, of course it is going to be a long afternoon and evening for us. It’s hard to pass around here, but that is also the beauty of this Grand Prix. It is a long one and a lot of things always happen around here, so I hope we can score a few points out there," said Verstappen, who starts from P11.

Verstappen hopes for surprise

The Dutchman knows that if his car works, he would normally make up a lot of places in his RB19. "[But that's just it, the car is not working this weekend.] I expect it to be tough, but hopefully we can get surprised and can still have a decent result," he concluded. Verstappen starts from 11th place. Teammate Sergio Perez starts from P13.
