F1 Constructors' Standings after Singapore | Ferrari closer to Mercedes
Ferrari scored the most points of all teams in the Singapore Grand Prix with 37. This puts the Italian constructor well ahead of rival Mercedes, which scored only 15 points after George Russell's late crash.
Ferrari big winner in Singapore
Ferrari are the big winner after the Grand Prix weekend in Singapore with a first and fourth place finish. World Championship leaders Red Bull Racing had a chance to grab the constructors' title in the city-state for the first time this season. To do so, the Austrian team needed to score at least a one-two, but with Red Bull's mediocre speed in Singapore, that soon seemed unachievable. In Japan, Red Bull will get a second chance to do so and the team of Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez only needs to score nine points there to clinch the title.
Aston Martin failed to score a single point in a Grand Prix weekend for the first time this season. Lance Stroll did not participate in the race after a hugely serious crash in qualifying on Saturday and Fernando Alonso finished last in 15th place. With this, Aston Martin is losing sight of rivals Mercedes and Ferrari. The gas is now 72 and 48 points respectively.
