Horner appreciates Perez's work: 'Key role in championship'
Christian Horner is a happy man after Red Bull Racing's championship. Max Verstappen managed to keep everyone behind him and bring in 26 points for the Austrian team. The British team principal is therefore very happy after this championship, he revealed in his interview.
The Briton said his family follows everything regarding Formula 1. "They follow everything very closely. It's very early in Europe, particularly in the UK at the moment, they watched the race and it's always good to see them. I have a great family and great support from my wife and my children, so, I'm looking forward to seeing them," he added.
Horner on Perez
While things are going incredibly well for Verstappen, things are running a little less smoothly for teammate Sergio Perez. In the race, the Mexican even had to retire the car twice. Still, Horner thinks the driver from Guadalajara will be fine.
"He's had a difficult couple of races, but I think he'll bounce back. There's a few circuits coming up that he should be strong for him, so it was a tough weekend, but he's played a key role in this Constructors' Championship. Now the focus is making sure he keeps that second place in the Drivers' Championship," he concluded.
