At Suzuka, in front of the Honda crowd, Red Bull Racing became constructors' champion. Max Verstappen had a fat hand in the constructors' championship with his 400 points, but Sergio Perez also had his share of the Austrian racing stable's championship with 223 points. Red Bull team boss Horner spoke about Perez's situation.

Perez is regularly criticised for his performance for being too far off the Dutchman during races and qualifying. "He's got at least a one race weekend sort of [points] 'buffer' to Lewis and greater than that to Fernando [Alonso] behind him," Horner told Sky Sports about the points standings.

Horner on dominant Red Bull year

Such a dominant year in Formula 1 is exceptional, according to Horner: "It's something that we've never achieved; we've never finished first and second with any of our drivers in the world championship so it would be a big thing for us to achieve," the British team boss reveals.

The British team boss talks about Perez and makes the comparison with the Formula 1 season in 2022. "He came close last year, it would be his best-ever result, and he's got the best car that he's ever had to be able to try and achieve that result," concludes the Red Bull Racing team boss.
