Fresh world champion Max Verstappen still has a contract running until the end of 2028 at Red Bull Racing. F1 will move to a 24-race season for 2024, which the Dutchman believes to be too full of a season. As a result, he might not continue in the pinnacle of motorsport until the age of 40. The Red Bull driver talks about his plans, after his Formula 1 career, to still help motorsport.

"I have a lot of plans, racing related, and trying to help young talent," opens the reigning world champion. "So far, all of us, or probably most of us, have come through the karting ranks, but that's also very, very expensive nowadays. As I have my own sim team, I do believe that there is a possibility to give back to sim racing, and I do see a lot of potential in some of these guys that they can make it in the real world as well," Verstappen reveals.

Verstappen wants to help sim racers

Verstappen's sim team is Team Redline, a team the three-time world champion regularly races for on the sim. The 26-year-old F1 driver also hopes to send sim racers into the "real" motorsport world after his career, he explained.

"Hopefully, in a few year's time, I can have a way of, you know, sim racers making it into a real car. This doesn't mean progressing all the way to F1, but it can be to an endurance seat or whatever. That's something that I'm very passionate about, and hopefully I can make it happen very soon," the Dutchman concludes.
