Netflix to air live sporting event with F1 drivers for the first time
Netflix will broadcast a live sporting event for the first time. This will feature two teams from two different series on the streaming service: Formula 1 drivers featured in Drive to Survive and professional golfers from the series Full Swing.
Netflix combines F1 and golf
For its popular series, Netflix is partnering with both F1 and the PGA Tour. Ahead of the inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix, a golf tournament called 'Netflix Cup' is scheduled to combine both series. The sporting event will take place on 14 November and can be seen live on Netflix.
The F1 drivers taking part in the tournament are known to be avid golfers. Lando Norris, Carlos Sainz, Alex Albon and Pierre Gasly will compete on behalf of F1. They will compete against professional golfers Rickie Fowler, Max Homa, Collin Morikawa and Justin Thomas.
