The Mexican Grand Prix weekend is upon us, and it's another late start for European fans. For fans in America, the event takes place in the middle of the afternoon. The 2023 Mexican Grand Prix will take place on Sunday, October 29, at 20:00 BST. It will be the 19th race in the 2023 Formula 1 season and uses the traditional weekend format.

Max Verstappen won the 2023 World Championship in Qatar, and Red Bull Racing won the Constructors' title in Japan. Given those results and the performance of the RB19, Verstappen and Red Bull are favourites to win again in Mexico. There is still plenty to play for, including P2 in the Drivers' Championship, which sees Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso trying to catch Sergio Perez. They will get another chance in Austin, but Perez will be trying to regain his form in front of his home fans.

When will the drivers be in action?

The Mexican Grand Prix weekend will use the traditional weekend format of Formula 1. Two practice sessions have already taken place on Friday. A third practice starts the action on Saturday before qualifying for the Grand Prix takes place later on in the evening. The main event takes place on Sunday at 20:00 BST (14:00 local time).
