Spot two for Perez: 'Beautiful moment, was a difficult season'
It is finally official: Sergio Perez has secured second place in the constructors' championship. The Mexican had a difficult season where it seemed Hamilton would pass him, this is now no longer possible. Speaking to Viaplay, here is what Checo said.
"It’s obviously a good moment, personally, because it's been a very tough season at times. We had such a strong car, but the car was just not getting out of my hands." It got harder and harder for the Mexican as the other cars got better: "I think what I took the most out of this year is that I didn't break into pieces and I managed to come back strongly and get the job done.''
Perez championship battle
During the press conference, Perez also looks back at the beginning of the season: "You know, it’s been a challenging year. It started really well, fighting for the championship. But then, I think in Barcelona. We had such a dominant car but I just couldn’t set it up properly."
