The first free practice session is over and it was George Russell who went fastest around the Yas Marina Circuit. The Mercedes driver drove a 1:26.072. Rookie Felipe Drugovich came closest. Remarkably, Carlos Sainz in his Ferrari failed to get there with a seventh time by six tenths.
