Ricciardo excited for 2024: 'They see me as a Red Bull driver'

Daniel Ricciardo's season must have felt like a rollercoaster for him: from the reserve bench to the front line, to the sickbay and back again in Formula 1. Once he was finally settled at AlphaTauri, the season was already over. The Australian is already looking forward to 2024.
A new name for the team, new US sponsors and, above all, confidence in a sportingly better year for Red Bull Racing's sister team. The last few months were already an indication that (now still) AlphaTauri is also getting better and better on the technical front. In short, interesting times may be ahead for Yuki Tsunoda and Daniel Ricciardo, the latter realises in conversation with, GPblog and others.
Ricciardo sees similarities between team and himself
"It is. I feel like there's a lot for me coming back in. That's really exciting. I think there's also a team that is kind of rebuilding. A little bit like how I've kind of done during this phase of my career, so we're all kind of on a similar path. I would say there's a lot of confidence.
The veteran driver - who is angling for Sergio Perez's seat at Red Bull Racing in 2024 - also has a word for his teammate. "Yuki has stepped up a lot and kind of proved himself. I think the team has a lot of faith in me, and I think they still see me as a Red Bull driver and the results I had and not as a McLaren driver and the results I had so we're all in a good place," Ricciardo concluded.
