Censorship! British media don't want to show Bottas' buttocks!
Valterri Bottas, Alfa Romeo's driver, released a nude calendar for charity, after a picture of him swimming nude in 2022 in Colorado was heavily liked by the F1 communnity and became a meme. The 'BotASS' campaign and its calendar was created to raise funds for Movember. However, the Daily Mail, one of the UK's leading newspapers, decided to print the pictures blurred.
The British newspaper devoted an extensive article to Bottas' calendar, including a short video and some photos of the calendar. But the Formula 1 driver's buttocks have been made invisible. So UK residents will actually have to purchase the calendar themselves if they want to see Bottas' backside in all its glory.
Bottas raises hefty sum with calendar
Incidentally, the sale of the calendar did Bottas no harm - or rather the charity that part of the proceeds go to. Exactly how much was raised had yet to be calculated, but last week the Finn already revealed that it was definitely more than $150,000. "Thank you so much for all the support in November. With the donations and with the calendars we have together raised a substantial amount for Movember," Bottas wrote on X.
