Formula E driver is working with an F1 team but cannot say which team
Formula E driver Sacha Fenestraz will drive in the FE next season on behalf of Nissan, but the Argentine-French driver is busy working with a Formula 1 team, he reveals. The 24-year-old driver finished 16th in the Formula E championship in the 2022/2023 season.
Fenestraz has reported that he has been working with a Formula 1 team as a simulator driver for six months. Still, he could not reveal the team. "I cannot say with whom, but I work for an F1 team, and I do simulator work, and I have signed the papers for the super licence," Fenestraz revealed in a conversation with Argentine medium Corazon de F1.
Fenestraz in an F1 car soon?
"It's a dream for me to work in the world of F1. I have not yet sat in the car, but it is possible that it is coming," the Argentine continued. It will be up to them to decide whether it is in an official test or in a rookie FP1. Despite it being the Frenchman's dream to drive in the top class of motorsport, he remains loyal to his constructor in Formula E.
"I have to give priority to Nissan when there are date conflicts with the F1 simulator. It has always been my dream to compete in a world championship and that is my priority," he explained. The new Formula E season starts in one month's time with the Grand Prix in Mexico.
