Is Sauber already changing team name? 'We are aware of what's at stake'
- Ludo van Denderen
There has been some uproar in the Swiss media and on social media in recent days. The trigger? The new name of Sauber (formerly Alfa Romeo). Indeed, the Swiss team had announced it would go through life for the next two seasons as Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber. Kick Sauber (translated as 'kick Sauber') raised eyebrows here and there.
This has not escaped Sauber's notice either, and so the team is now coming out with a statement. "It seems our recently released team name has been getting a lot of attention. While we're not ready to unveil the final result yet, we are aware of what's at stake. Rest assured, we're on a mission to unleash the most exciting identity this team has ever seen."
