Horner on 'remarkable' 2023: 'None of us could have ever imagined this'

2023 was a great year for Red Bull's team. All records were broken and titles were successfully defended. Team boss Christian Horner looks back on the team's great year at the FIA Prize Giving Gala.
''It's been a remarkable season for us. None of us could have ever imagined this kind of season that we've just completed. To win 21 out of the 22 races, five out of the six sprint races, defend both titles, breaking many records along the way. Some of those stood since 1988,'' Horner says. He continues: ''I think it epitomises that every aspect of the team has just been operating at a phenomenal level and it’s not just the design of the car and the operation of the cars, it's the production, it's the support functions, it's every single department across all the different challenges of different types of circuits conditions that we've had over the course of the year. ''
Certainty crucial for RB19
Max Verstappen was the only driver this year who managed to finish every race and complete all the laps. Such certainty was nice according to Horner: ''[Also,] reliability, our partner Honda as well giving us a great product for the year. It's a combination of all those aspects that have come together that has just been the most gratifying team performance that I doubt we'll be able to achieve again statistically.''
