The 2023 Formula 1 season has been over for a while, and so Jolyon Palmer has given his analysis of the past season. The award for the most entertaining Grand Prix in the F1 season goes to the United States. To Nevada, where the Las Vegas Grand Prix was held. At least, if we are to believe Palmer.

The weekend in the world's gambling city did not start well, as drivers were able to go back inside after only eight minutes of racing in the first free practice session. Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz drove over a protruding manhole cover, making the track unsafe. FP2 was run, but without supporters in the stands, as they were no longer allowed inside.

Palmer picks Las Vegas as best Grand Prix of 2023

"In terms of best race, Las Vegas had it all," Palmer opens in his analysis on Formula1.com. "Drama at the start, drama at the final corner, plenty of gutsy overtakes and incidents along the way, and we didn’t even know Max would win until the last handful of laps. What a debut for a Grand Prix of stature," said the 32-year-old Briton.

"Street circuits might not be everyone’s cup of tea, and I certainly don’t want them at every event, but if a race can be as good to watch as Vegas this year, that can’t be a bad thing."
