Perez invited to other racing class 'He needs real competition'

While Max Verstappen had an insanely dominant season, winning 19 out of 21 races, last season did not go as well for his teammate Sergio Perez. He was often far behind in qualifying, causing himself extra work on Sunday. Perez still has a contract with Red Bull for the upcoming season, but what he will do after that is not yet certain. Formula E co-founder Alberto Longo made it clear that the door is open for Perez in Formula E.
Axis Mexico spoke to Longo before the start of the first race of the Formula E season in Mexico. He took the opportunity and invited Sergio Perez for a seat in the racing class. "I talk to 'Checo' all the time, and I hope he makes the jump to real competition (laughs). Formula E is his home, the doors are open and he is welcome, he has already raced with me once."
Formula One is a sport with long periods of dominance. In recent times, for example, we have seen Mercedes dominate, and now there is a Red Bull dominance. In Formula E, the field is closer together, about 2-3 seconds at some races. Hence, Longo calls Formula E "the real competition".
Sergio Perez is welcome in Formula E
So should the Mexican's contract not be renewed at Red Bull Racing, he can always join Formula E.
