The FIA released a statement Monday afternoon regarding the ongoing investigation into Horner. The governing body stressed that it will not comment substantively on the case until the outcome of the investigation is known. The statement echoes that of F1, which stressed its hope that "the matter will be clarified at the earliest opportunity, after a fair and thorough process".

"In relation to the independent investigation currently being undertaken by Red Bull GMbH, the FIA reiterates that until such time as the investigation has concluded and the outcome is known, we will not be commenting further. The FIA remains committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity, fairness and inclusivity within the sport," reads the statement from the governing body.

Earlier, Formula 1 released a statement on the investigation into the Red Bull team boss, who has been accused of inappropriate behaviour. More rumors have since come out about the possible contents of the case, but until the investigation is complete, no conclusions can be drawn. Horner continues to deny the allegations and, as far as is known, will be present as usual during the test days in Bahrain.
