Marko wants quick decision on Horner case: 'The sooner, the better'
Despite the winter tests ahead, there is another issue currently gripping Red Bull Racing: the accusation of transgressive behaviour against team principal Christian Horner. It is now clear that the Briton will be present in Bahrain when Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez give the RB20 the spurs.
For now, the findings of the external investigation into the allegations are not known and so Horner can continue with his work. In what timeframe clarity does emerge is unknown. Helmut Marko, who is whispered to no longer be on good terms with Horner, cannot get it soon enough.
Marko praises Red Bull
In a broadcast of Servus TV, the team's external advisor told: "It is an internal investigation. The sooner the result is there, the better, because this long duration naturally causes rumours to arise. I think Red Bull has reacted very well in this matter. The long duration of this investigation is not their fault. They try to do a fair investigation and then react accordingly," Marko said.
Christian Horner, among others, expressed confidence in a good outcome of the investigation during the presentation of the RB20. The team principal also told the factory in Milton Keynes that he felt a lot of support within the Red Bull organisation.
