At the Bahrain Grand Prix, Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz managed to finish third. His teammate, Charles Leclerc, finished fourth. The distance between the two was a whopping 14.559 seconds. Have a say in our statement: 'Sainz will beat Leclerc in 2024'.

Carlos Sainz is not really known to the general public as an aggressive driver. Yet in Bahrain, it seemed that a flame has been ignited in him. This might have to do with the fact that he will have to leave his team at the end of the season. Besides, the Spaniard is not yet sure of a seat for 2025 either, so he will have to prove himself.

Sainz performed better in Bahrain than Leclerc

Charles Leclerc is the big favourite at Ferrari. Despite the team claiming they do not treat their drivers differently, the mega-contract Leclerc signed not long ago makes it seem otherwise. At the Bahrain Grand Prix, Sainz beat his teammate by a huge margin of a whopping almost 15 seconds. Adding to that, Leclerc started from second place and Sainz from fourth. Leclerc's lacklustre performance in Bahrain was because he suffered a lot of brake problems, but afterwards it turned out that Sainz also suffered from these problems during the race. Sainz managed to cool down the overheated brakes well, making a podium finish possible for him in the end.
