Kvyat laughs at power struggle between Marko and Horner at Red Bull

Daniil Kvyat is not surprised by the chaos that has ensued within Red Bull. In an interview with Speed City Broadcasting, the Russian did not hold back about his former employer, and openly doubts if Christian Horner or Helmut Marko has the lead.

"It seems a bit chaotic there. I am personally not very surprised," said Kvyat when asked about the chaos surrounding Red Bull Racing's prominent figures. At Red Bull Racing, there is a lot going on about Max Verstappen' s future and Sergio Perez' s contract is expiring. At Visa Cash App RB, it is no different with the pressure on Daniel Ricciardo, who was previously mentioned as Perez's successor at the main team.

"They seem to like to bring their old friends back, so if one of them wants to reach out, they still know my phone number," Kvyat laughed. Who would call him, however, is unclear to Kelly Piquet's ex. "I don't know if it's Helmut or I don't know if now Christian has more importance. I don't know who is winning in their power struggle up there. It's going to get pretty interesting there."

Kvyat made 112 starts in F1 from 2014 to 2020. All those starts were for Red Bull teams. The Russian started his career at Toro Rosso, became Sebastian Vettel 's successor at Red Bull Racing after just one season, and was then relegated again in 2016 in favour of Max Verstappen. Kvyat lost his F1 seat at the end of 2017, only to rejoin the team in 2019 and 2020.

Kvyat, who also has a daughter Penelope with Max Verstappen's current girlfriend Kelly Piquet, is no longer involved in F1 anno 2024. The now 29-year-old driver drives in the World Endurance Championship for Lamborghini and competed at COTA in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.
